Some of the Garden State’s best musicians will be featured when four female-led acts play the new show “Women Rock New Jersey.”

Nalani & Sarina (Hunterdon County), Eryn (Holmdel), Lisa Bouchelle (Trenton) and Katie Henry (Vernon) each will play a set.

Aspiring female musicians are invited to free preshow event about how to navigate the music industry, and the show’s four performers will participate in a panel discussion on that topic. Veteran music journalist Jay Lustig will moderate the discussion, which begins at 5:15 p.m. Anyone under age 21 must be accompanied by parent/guardian and a ticket is required to stay for show, which starts at 6 o’clock.

“I can’t wait to be part of the panel discussion and offer my thoughts and advice to aspiring female musicians,” says Eryn, who is co-headlining. “It will be a great way to kick off the ‘Women Rock New Jersey’ show.”

Co-headliner Nalani & Sarina, who have been touring the Eastern U.S. in support of their latest release, “The Circle,” are “one of the best new musical acts to come out of N.J. in a long time. (I) believe that Nalani & Sarina are a voice for their generation,” longtime music writer Bob Makin wrote in a review of their album on NJArts.net.

“We are incredibly excited to share the stage with some talented, female-fronted bands from New Jersey,” Nalani & Sarina said in a statement. “Opening the conversation of women empowerment in music is important to us, so we're really looking forward to growing this phenomenon.”
