Why does Falke Want Revenge on Eisenstein? Take the “Die Fledermaus” Quiz and attend the BONJ Summer Music Festival

BONJ Opera Quiz:

  • Why does Falke want revenge on Eisenstein?
  • At whose palace is the big "anything-goes" party?
  • What drink is His Majesty?
  • Who are Marquis Renard and Chevalier Chagrin?
  • What does Eisenstein use for seduction?
  • What Hungarian dance is the basis of Rosalinda's famous aria?
  • At what hour does the party end?

These questions are all part of the Die Fledermaus Quiz.

Answers will be revealed at the performance at The 2018 BONJ Summer Music Festival with a semi-staged performance of Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus, commonly known in English as Revenge of the Bat. The reference is to a joke played by one character on another, but in reality it's all an excuse for one big party.

WHEN: Sunday, August 5, at 3:00 pm
WHERE: Dolan Hall, The Annunciation Center, The College of Saint Elizabeth, 2 Convent Road, Morristown, New Jersey.

The semi-staged production features BONJ singers Timothy Maureen Cole, Kevin Peters, Maria Alu, Jason Adamo, George Spitzer, Teresa Giardina, Dmitri Zigrino, Josh LaRose, Alessia Santoro, Anthony Figliano, Thomas Loughman, Don Kalbach, and Bobbi Agins. The opera will be performed in English so all the zesty humor can shine.
