Join us for the opening of Clarence H. White and His World—named one of the must-see exhibitions worldwide this fall by Artnet. A lecture by Anne McCauley, curator of the exhibition and David Hunter McAlpin Professor of the History of Photography and Modern Art at Princeton, explores the legacy of one of the early twentieth century’s most gifted photographers and influential teachers—and the time when photography came to be a fine art, thanks in part to White. A reception in the Museum will follow.
