August 2017 player invitation - revised JPEG

Maestro Anthony LaGruth and members of the Livingston Symphony Orchestra invite all dedicated musicians—students, amateurs and professionals—to join them for their opening rehearsals.

WHEN:  Tuesday, September 12 and Tuesday, September 19 from 7:30-10:00pm, with a break at 9:30 pm for light refreshment and conversation
WHERE: Orchestra Room, Livingston High School, 30 Robert Harp Drive, Livingston

Made up of volunteer musicians from Livingston and the metropolitan area, the orchestra has grown through fifty seven seasons to become one of the finest regional symphonies in the state. The members embrace not only the joy of making classical music, but also the excitement of sharing it with the community at large, providing affordable concerts in the convenience of a suburban setting. Projected works and program themes for the LSO 2017-2018 Season include Berlioz "Symphony Fantastique" (LSO SPooktacular); Brahms 1st Symphony; Tchaikovsky "Romeo and Juliet" (In the Name of Love); Debussy "Death La Mer" (The Sound of Impressionism); and Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5.
