Dance New Jersey, the state’s premiere dance service organization will present its bi-annual member-based performance opportunity. Show Up and Dance is an opportunity for dance artists to exhibit their work in a supportive environment. Members of Dance New Jersey are invited to showcase a work in progress or present a complete work, as a means to solicit constructive feedback from peers and to gain exposure. The general public is invited to join in the fun for a nominal fee. Members need not pay anything additional to participate, but pre-registration is required.

“Show Up and Dance” informally showcases the breadth of dancing and choreographic talent that hails from New Jersey. In a welcoming and supportive environment, student and professional members of Dance New Jersey alike come together to share their creative dance work with the community. In this iteration showcasing over 25 works and 100 performers, audiences can expect to see performances by local professional dance companies moe-tion dance theatre and Nai-Ni Chen, along with the highlighting of National Honor Society of Dance Arts students, and many more exceptional performances by some of New Jersey’s best dance artists.

Dance New Jersey is a service organization committed to advocating the excellence of dance and dance education in the state. Its goals are to raise public awareness of the significance of dance by cultivating relationships with communities, to foster the artistic and administrative growth of its varied members, and to be the state-wide hub of dance resource sharing.
