The disastrous Robert Scott race with Norwegian Roald Amundsen to be the first to the South Pole forms the dramatic core of this Obie-winning play. With chilling intensity, it captures the awesome bravery of men, driven by the British code of honor, who realize that death will be their only reward, as well as the remarkable courage of the families who must carry on in their absence.

The cast, directed by Dickson Lane of West Orange, includes Dave Grant of The Bronx, NY, Jim Simpson of Bloomfield, Juliana Valente of Wayne , Chris Cofone of Clifton , Steven Crooks of Bloomfield, Sam Currie of Newark , and Clinton Scott of Park Ridge. Jacqueline Mercer of Butler is stage manager.

*Nutley Little Theatre stages its productions at the NLT Barn, 47 Erie Place , Nutley , located off Brookfield Avenue (one block east of Franklin Avenue ) in the heart of the Erie Place Historic District. For directions, please see www.nutleylittletheatre.com.
