Margulies explores the challenges a relationship between a photojournalist and a foreign correspondent—each addicted to the adrenaline of documenting the atrocities of war—faces when both return home.

Photographer Sarah was seriously injured while covering the war in Iraq; her reporter partner James left weeks earlier when the stress and horrors became too much for him.

Now James writes online movie reviews while Sarah recovers.  And, as both struggle with their inner demons, each has to answer: What does it mean to capture suffering on film, rather than stopping to intervene?

"Mr. Margulies is gifted at creating complex characters through wholly natural interaction, allowing the emotional layers, the long histories, the hidden kernels of conflict to emerge organically. Throughout, his dialogue crackles with bright wit and intelligence." — New York Times
