Flavia Fontes has been making award-winning films for more than fifteen years.  Her films have been screened all over the world including the Berlin Film Festival, the Museum of Modern Art, the Sundance Film Festival, PBS, HBO, BBC, Sundance Channel and the Discovery Channel.  Fontes teaches film editing at the New School University.

Two young people find love while in hiding during WWII. The boy, now an old man, works as a Shomer, a religious watchman responsible for guarding the souls of the dead before their burial. One night he comes face-to-face with his long lost love when her dead body is wheeled into the morgue where he works. As he is presented with a final chance at redemption, he recalls the brief but intense circumstances of their love affair.

The Hope on the Horizon Expedition Team journeyed over 48 peaks, 250 miles and 70,000 feet of elevation in 24 days to raise awareness and funding for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) patients and their families. 

The challenges of negotiating the fragile beauty and rugged terrain of the White Mountains in New Hampshire will serve as an engaging storyline used to teach the world about the true challenges and hardships faced by A.L.S. victims and their loved ones in dealing with this devastating disease.
