Stop by the Zimmerli to visit the major exhibition Striking Resemblance: The Changing Art of Portraiture before it closes July 13. On display for the first time is 445 Portraits of a Man, a collection of anonymous photobooth images that sparked international interest.

Many wondered who the subject was and why he took nearly 500 “unintentional selfies” over at least two decades, beginning during the Great Depression. And thanks to the serendipity that can occur via the Internet, the mystery recently was solved.

Please note that the Zimmerli is closed to the public during the month of August to prepare its fall exhibitions. Click here for the complete list of exhibitions that close July 31.
