The village of Grover’s Corners comes to brilliant life in this thrilling new production of Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning classic.  Filled with unexpected humor, Wilder’s poignant – and pointed – observations on life and love are as relevant today as they were at its premiere 75 years ago.

Filled with unexpected humor, a cast of 25 brings this Pulitzer Prize-winning classic to life in a thrilling new production featuring four-time Tony Award-winner Boyd Gaines and introducing two future stars of stage and screen in their professional debut, Pico Alexander as George and Aaron Ballard as Emily.  The not-to-be-missed theatrical event of the spring season is helmed by internationally acclaimed director David Esbjornson.

George Street Playhouse is proud to present Our Town as the inaugural production of a landmark collaboration between the Playhouse and Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts.  Nearly half this cast are either Mason Gross alumni or students.

In addition, over the course of the run the roles of the people in the audience will be played by actual audience members. Various local dignitaries and personalities will be filling those roles each performance.
