IRREVERENT LOOK @ ROBIN HOOD LEGEND @ DUNELLEN SKYLIGHT THEATRE

RHflyer

Dunellen Skylight Theatre Productions presents The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, a frantically funny, Monty Python-esque retelling of the classic Robin Hood tale written by Mary Lynn Dobson. Under the Direction of Barbara Gianotto and Assistant Direction of Sandra Spano, our gallant guy-in-green tries his best to help the needy as he swaggers through The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood.

IMG_3831_copyThis time around, the legendary legend Robin Hood (Paul Kazalski, Bound Brook), encounters a lovely damsel-in-distress the Lady Marian (Kelly Maizenaski, Middlesex) who has an odd obsession with skin conditions; an ever-scheming Sheriff (Will Rider, Manville) who would rather bowl a strike than hit a bull's-eye; a gold-hoarding, bad-guy monarch wannabe Prince John (Tom Hickey, Bloomfield); and a good-natured "Town's Guy" (Mark Noble, Green Brook) who manages to make his way into every scene, whether he belongs there or not.

Combine them a band of spoon-wielding Merry Men whose collective IQs equal six, and you've got an irreverent jaunt through Sherwood Forest you won't soon forget!
