Dunellen Skylight Theatre Productions presents The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, a frantically funny, Monty Python-esque retelling of the classic Robin Hood tale written by Mary Lynn Dobson. Under the Direction of Barbara Gianotto and Assistant Direction of Sandra Spano, our gallant guy-in-green tries his best to help the needy as he swaggers through The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood.
This time around, the legendary legend Robin Hood (Paul Kazalski, Bound Brook), encounters a lovely damsel-in-distress the Lady Marian (Kelly Maizenaski, Middlesex) who has an odd obsession with skin conditions; an ever-scheming Sheriff (Will Rider, Manville) who would rather bowl a strike than hit a bull's-eye; a gold-hoarding, bad-guy monarch wannabe Prince John (Tom Hickey, Bloomfield); and a good-natured "Town's Guy" (Mark Noble, Green Brook) who manages to make his way into every scene, whether he belongs there or not.
Combine them a band of spoon-wielding Merry Men whose collective IQs equal six, and you've got an irreverent jaunt through Sherwood Forest you won't soon forget!
