You are invited to attend a special film screening of the NJ Premier of the documentary The Trial of Adolf Eichmann. Also screened will be the new documentary short film Reporting on the Times: The New York Times and the Holocaust.
These screenings are part of the 2014 New Jersey Jewish Film Festival, and the College of Saint Elizabeth is a "community co-sponsor" for this screening.
Guest speaker will be Dr. Harriet Sepinwall, Professor of Holocaust Studies, and co-Director of the College of Saint Elizabeth Holocaust Education Resource Center. Opportunity for Q/A.

RESCUE IN THE PHILIPPINES

Rescue in the Philippines: Refuge from the Holocaust recounts a fascinating, yet seldom-told, chapter in World War II history. The documentary chronicles a real-life Casablanca, in which a high-profile group of poker buddies - including Colonel Dwight Eisenhower - devised an intricate international plan of rescue and re-settlement, saving 1,300 Jews from Nazi concentration camps.
A discussion will follow with Jane Frieder Wilf. She is the granddaughter of Herbert Frieder, and the daughter of Philip Richard Frieder, both of whom appear in the film.
