Mama is out of the closet and hitting the "road" with Vicki Lawrence in Vicki Lawrence and Mama: A Two Woman Show.  The show is a mixture of stand-up comedy, music and Vicki's observations about real life.
Emmy Award- winning comedienne Vicki Lawrence is one of the most beloved television personalities of her generation. Plucked out of total obscurity as a high school senior, Vicki went on to become part of the now-legendary cast of the "Carol Burnett Show." "I went to the Harvard School of Comedy in front of America," says Ms. Lawrence of her Burnett Show training.

The unprecedented ratings for the "Carol Burnett Showstopper Special," which recently delighted more than 50 million viewers, convinced Ms. Lawrence that the time is right to take Mama out of the closet, dust off her sensible shoes and hit the road with her new touring production, Vicki Lawrence and Mama: A Two-Woman Show.

Ms. Lawrence will take the stage first. "My new show will not be a retrospective," she explains. "We are designing a show that is a mixture of stand-up comedy, music and my observations about real life." The multi-talented entertainer is mostly known for her acting and comedic talents, but she also earned a gold record for the 1973 hit, "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia."

A passionate, bawdy, funny and uplifting new musical that sings the
true story of one of the great love affairs of the 20th Century that
changed the face of literature forever.

Starring Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys) as Himself...the brilliant and hard
drinking Irish novelist James Joyce, and Jessica Burrows (Zhivago)
as Nora...the earthy chambermaid, Nora Barnacle, who became his
lover, his partner, and his muse for 29 years.  This bawdy and funny,
uplifting, and melodic new musical, Himself and Nora sings a
contemporary love story. A love which survived their exile from their
beloved Ireland, the condemnation of the Catholic church, and
ultimately helped to create some of the greatest writing of the 20th
century.  Himself and Nora is alive with intelligent and witty tunes
ranging from boldly anthemic to raucously funny to moving poignancy.

Direct from its stunning success at the 2012 New York Musical
Theatre Festival, Jonathan Brielle's Himself and Nora has its first
musical theater offering at UCPAC’s Hamilton Stage.

Freddie's songs and live solo performances are an hypnotic mix of poetry, humor and eerily beautiful tunes, that leave your imagination soaring.

He's recorded three studio albums, the most recent being ‘The City Is King’ in 2011. Freddie has been joined onstage by some of the best musicians worldwide - from London, Stockholm, Nashville, New York, Ireland and Scotland - namely, Mike Scott and Steve Wickham of the Waterboys, James Maddock, Brady Blade, Chris Donoghue, David Luther, John Perry, Phil Madeira, and Teddy Kumpel, to name a few.

Children of all ages respond to the power of courage and kindness that lie at the heart of this delightful double feature. Clever Peter and his friends dance to Prokofiev’s famous score, and Beauty’s gentle ways turn the Beast into a handsome Prince. The program is accompanied by NJ Ballet’s original “storyteller” narration so even the littlest theatergoer can keep up with ease.
