SPRING INTO ART CLASSES @ THE YARD SCHOOL OF ART BEGINNING APRIL 9

Start Spring with a New Beginning: Spring Classes at the Yard School of Art Begin April 9

  • Beginning Pottery, Wednesdays 7 – 9:30 p.m. or Thursdays 10 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Introduction to Drawing, Mondays, 7 – 9:30 PM
  • Introduction to Painting, Mondays, 7 – 9:30 PM
  • Introduction to Photoshop, Wednesdays 9:30 AM – Noon
  • Introduction to Graphic Design, Thursdays 7 – 9:30 PM
  • Introduction to Web Design with Dreamweaver, Mondays 7 – 9:30 PM
  • Introduction to Art Journaling, Fridays 1 – 3:30 PM
  • Introduction to Writing and Illustrating Children's Books, Thursdays 7 – 9:30 PM

For Kids and Teens

Creativity abounds at MAM! There's a class for every child, from our youngest artists in My Buddy and Me (Ages 3–5) to high school students preparing for college in The Digital Portfolio (Ages 16+).

Can't attend an 8-week course? Try our one-day workshops including Parent and Child Tile Making and Digital Music Production (Ages 12+), both on May 6.

Spring into Workshops

The Yard School also offers 1 – 3 day workshops for adults. These classes are great opportunities to try a new medium or refine a particular skill. The first two adult workshops this Spring are:

Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign Intensive Workshop

10 AM – 4 PM
$225 Members, $240 Nonmembers
Susan Greenspan

This three-day workshop will cover Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign from the ground up. Students will spend each session getting to know a different program and leave with in-depth knowledge of creating digital media for print and the web. Topics that will be covered include design media, photo retouching, illustrating and more.

Spring into Ceramics! Make Your Own Flower Pot

Evan Wagman

Let the beauty and new life of spring inspire you as you create a hand- made clay pot for planting flowers. Follow step-by-step instructions to build your own vessel, and design the surface in an expressive and textured style. A great introduction to clay for beginners as well as a creative opportunity for the experienced. Students will select glazes and return to pick up the fired pots two weeks from the workshop date.
