CENTENARY STUDENTS PRODUCE SHAKESPEARE’S “CYMBELINE”

The Centenary College Theatre Department will present the student production of Shakespeare’s Cymbeline, a story of love, betrayal and redemption. When the Princess Imogen is falsely accused of adultery and escapes her father’s court, she sets forth on a treacherous and miraculous journey to reclaim her place in society and reunite with her true love.

The cast includes Morgan Mack (Old Bridge) as Imogen, Erik Gaden (Dover) as Cymbeline, Emilio Tirri (Blairstown) as Posthumous, Alex Poage (Flemington) as Pisanio, Dr. Kitsy Dixon as the Queen, Jordan Wells as Lachimo, Amanda Roy (Mahwah) as Belarius, Saquan Williams (Hoboken) as Fuiderius, and Yesung Lim (Hackettstown) as Philario. 

The production and design team for Cymbeline, all student led, is comprised of Jackie Mariani, as Stage Manager, Briana Klingaman (Phillipsburg) as Assist Director and Dramaturg, Nick Ardito (Hackettstown) as Fight Choreographer, David Smith as Lighting Designer, Sarah Greenstone as Costume Designer, and Paige Murray and Stephanie Tarantino as Assistant Stage Maagers.

A resident of Hackettstown, director Stephen Davis holds an M.F.A. in directing from USC and a B.F.A. in acting from DePaul UniversityWhile at Centenary he has directed Rachael Scardelli’s (class of 2011) adaptation of Antigone, Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero, and Alfred Jarry’s Ubu Roi.
