Capsule is an evening of 4 original one-act plays and 2 monologues all dealing with different aspects of September 11th.

  • The Eleventh of September, a drama about a husband and wife struggling with their marriage who come to realize the impact of the attacks
  • Catch the Morning, a heartfelt drama about a young medical student who questions her place in the world after the attacks
  • Capsule; a bittersweet drama about two high school students forced to work on a science project together when one of them soon realizes the impact of that fateful day
  • The Grieving Pool, a drama about two strangers who met at a 9/11 Memorial site and share stories of loss

Alter, who began his playwrighting career 11 years ago, debuted his first-ever plays at The Grove Street Theatre. That night was called Under the Apricot Sky and debuted six one-acts. “Montclair is where it all began. What better place than here to début work about September 11th.  10 years ago, we did a show entitled Ribbons for the same cause,” said Alter. “I love showcasing plays in Montclair; the town supports the arts greatly,” He added.
