EAST ASIA COMES TO THE NEWARK MUSEUM

For more than 3,000 years throughout East Asia, families celebrated the Harvest Moon Festival by listening to stories of the Moon goddess and Jade Rabbit while savoring moon cakes, pomelos and ginger tea.  Come celebrate this special occasion at the Newark Museum with your family and friends.  Enjoy a fun-filled day with dance and music performances, storytelling in the galleries and hands-on activities—such as lantern-making and papercutting—and even lunar explorations with the Museum's Astronomer.
