CENTENARY STAGE SETS AUDITIONS FOR NEIL SIMON PLAY

Centenary Stage Company (CSC) will hold open auditions for Equity and Non-Equity performers for Neil Simon’s Prisoner of Second Avenue. The production will be directed by Carl Wallnau.

WHEN: Monday, August 23, 2010
Auditions will be held at intervals between 11–7:30 PM.

WHERE: Edith Kutz Theatre of the new Lackland Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Centenary College in Hackettstown.

Actors unable to attend may send their headshot and resume to Centenary Stage Company, 400 Jefferson St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840.

Rehearsals begin September 14 and the production runs October 1–17, 2010

Neil Simon's comic masterpiece set in the 1970s, The Prisoner of Second Avenue follows the life of a married couple living in Manhattan's Upper East Side after the husband, Mel, has lost his job and the economic crisis and urban life pushes him towards a complete nervous breakdown, with only his wife and eccentric family to offer support.

Roles to be cast:
  • Mel Edison (40-50)
  • Edna Edison (40-50, Mel’s wife)
  • Harry Edison (50-60, Mel’s older brother)
  • Pearl , Jessie & Pauline (50-60s, Mel’s older sisters)
