Sat, Dec 7 @ 2PM
MENTOR Newark
609 Broad St
Newark, NJ
This free event will
celebrate the youth poets who have been writing and performing
their own work as part of Dodge Poetry in
the Community program this past fall, which
connected youth poets across the city with Newark-based
mentor poets and Rutgers-Newark MFA candidates for a series of
workshops across community partner sites. We will
commemorate the release of their work in a printed anthology, including a
teen open mic and party, complete with a DJ and free food and beverages.
Teens are welcome to walk in and sign up for the open mic. Family and
friends of youth poets are invited as well!
Please RSVP by Dec 5. Registered attendees will have an opportunity
to win a $25 VISA gift card.
