This Week:   Fall Tour at Willowwood November 2 Enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful gardens and historic grounds of Willowwood Arboretum in Chester Township. Meet by the main kiosk near the parking lot. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Register here. For adults, cost: $10 per person. Preregistration is required. Where: Willowwood Arboretum, 300 Longview Rd, Far Hills, NJ 07931   Toddler Trek: All About Deer November 6 Long-legged deer are ambling through our woods, eating acorns and getting ready for winter. Learn all about their lives and get a chance to touch real deer fur and antlers. With a deer story and walk to search for deer, this program will be held entirely outdoors, rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Register here. For ages 2-5 with an adult, cost: $7 per child. Preregistration is required. Where: Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center, 247 Southern Boulevard, Chatham Township, 07928   Homeschool Explorers: Changing Leaves November 7 Unplug, observe, and let's get exploring! Students will visit parts of the garden not often seen. This month, it's time to explore the wooded areas and observe the changing leaf colors. Spotlight On: Civil War Weekend November 2 Join the NJ 2nd Brigade as they host a reenactment weekend. See skirmishes, camp setups, and more during this family-friendly event. Register here. Where: Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, 73 Kahdena Road, Morristown, NJ 07960 Day Off with Nature: Creepy Crawlies November 7 Kids can spend a day off from school learning about creepy crawly critters at Pyramid Mountain! Activities will include meeting live bugs, a scavenger hunt hike, games and a craft. Kids should come with a nut-free snack and lunch, and dress for the weather. Register here. For ages 6-10, cost: $50 per child. Preregistration is required. Where: Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area, 472 Boonton Ave, Boonton, NJ 07005   Day Off with Nature: Nature and Tech  November 8 Spend your day off from school at Pyramid Mountain! In this program designed specifically for tweens and teens, become a citizen scientist and conduct a mini Bioblitz to see how many species you can identify using apps and technology to help you. Hike, play games, make new friends, and compete to see who can find the most species in the park! Bring a nut-free snack and lunch. Register here. For ages 11-15, cost: $50 per child. Look What's Coming: Cowboy Coffee November 9 Warm up with us while roasting and brewing coffee over a fire. Each participant will also take home their own freshly roasted beans. Register here.
