Día de los Muertos Community Workshop

Friday, October 18 | 11 AM – 3 PM

Día de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that honors and celebrates the lives of deceased loved ones through vibrant altars, offerings, and festivities. Join us for a FREE community workshop dedicated to honoring our cherished grandparents as we prepare a heartfelt altar. Bring a photo or create a drawing of your departed grandparent(s) to be framed and included in a collective altar installation. Your creations from this workshop will be part of the museum’s final altar installation, which will be unveiled on November 2nd during the Family Festival. The family festival will include facing painting, Beenie's ice cream, a Mariachi show, and a screening of the beloved movie Coco.
