In March of 1953, Joseph Stalin’s brutal reign
over the Soviet Union ends with his sudden death. His underlings
hilariously scramble over each other for advancement in the power
vacuum. With a standout cast featuring Steve Buscemi, Jeffrey Tambor,
and Michael Palin, and directed and co-written by Armando Iannucci (Veep,
The Thick of It), The Death of Stalin captures
the absurdity and terror of totalitarianism with lots of caustic
humor.
