Livingston Library
Community,
Are you looking to
stay up to date on current events and trending topics? Are you
looking to research news events for a particular time period in
history? If so, the Livingston Library has both print and digital
resources available to help!
Those looking for
historical newspapers from the U.S., including many newspapers local
to New Jersey will enjoy exploring the Library’s new subscription to ProQuest Historical News.
This resource provides genealogists, researchers, and scholars with
easily searchable first-hand accounts of events of the time. It’s
useful for those doing academic research projects as well as for
those exploring their family history.
In addition to
Proquest Historical News, the Library also offers library card
holders online access to the Star-Ledger
, New York Times,
and Wall Street Journal.
With these resources, you can read both current news and past
articles from specific dates. Unsure if the news you are reading
is reliable? The Library also has a libguide of fact-checking
resources to help you with evaluating news sources.
