Sunday: Opening Reception & Block Party
|
|
|
Celebrate
the start of our exciting new exhibitions at
HAM with an opening reception and block party
on Sunday, September 22 from 2 – 5 PM.
New Exhibitions:
2024 Members Exhibition. Discover
the diverse and inspiring works created by the
talented members of HAM. This annual exhibition
showcases a wide range of artistic styles and
mediums, highlighting the creativity and
craftsmanship of our vibrant community of
artists.
Elisa D’Arrigo: Making
Moves. These small objects,
while not specifically figures, have a presence
that suggests living bodies, with arm-like
appendages and orifices implying hidden
interiors. Their endearing eccentricity
commands our attention.
Kimberly Camp – Cross
River: A Parallel Universe. Explore
the intricate art of dollmaking through a
multidimensional lens. Spanning over forty
years of Camp’s career, this exhibition
highlights her unique blend of cultural
intersectionality, artistry, and storytelling.
Unblocked: Improvisation
and Identity in Contemporary Quilts. Dive
into the rich tradition of quilting reimagined
through a contemporary lens. This exhibition
features quilts that explore themes of
identity, culture, and personal expression,
with each piece telling a unique story through
color, pattern, and texture.
