NYO2 by Chris Lee

NYO2

Carnegie Hall’s NYO2 is a sister ensemble to the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). Founded in 2016 to recruit a wide range of talented young musicians ages 14–17, the ensemble has quickly become a remarkable—and constantly growing—story of success. “If this level of talent results from tossing the net far and wide, musically the US is in fine shape,” writes Seen and Heard International. Learn about this unique orchestra as it prepares for its Carnegie Hall concert on August 1.

NYO by Chris Lee

National Youth Orchestra of the USA

“Bounding into the hall in their blazers, red jeans and matching trainers, the group look more like young Olympians than a symphony orchestra, and the similarities only increase once they start to play.”
The Independent

Learn about Carnegie Hall’s original, world-renowned youth orchestra before its anticipated Carnegie Hall performance on August 5, featuring conductor Marin Alsop and pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
