MORRIS ARTS AND THE NEW JERSEY SYMPHONY CELEBRATE 40TH ANNUAL GIRALDA MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL

 


Morris Arts invites you to celebrate the 

40th Annual Giralda Music & Arts Festival

WHEN: Saturday, June 22Gates open at 3:00 PM for the art show and sale, picnicking, food trucks, 50/50 raffle, and children's activities including OMG Bubbles and Frisbee Art facilitated by the Kubert School.

: on the grounds of Giralda Farms, Rt. 124 and Dodge Drive, Madison, NJ
TICKETS:
 advance are $25 for adults, $4 for children 12 years old and under, and free for children 4 years old and under. Group sales available for groups of 10 or more at $20 each per adult. Tickets at the gate/day of event increases to $30 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under.

Jazz vocalist Lynette Sheard and the John Lee Quartet will take the stage at 4:00 PM for an incredible pre-show performance. Lynette’s performances have been acknowledged in numerous publications including, The New York Times, Broadway World, and The Star-Ledger, which proclaimed that “Her voice reaches deep into one’s soul and finds a soft spot”.

Finally, at 6:00 PM the New Jersey Symphony will perform a fantastic program (listed below) including timeless classics, Broadway themes, and patriotic favorites that the whole family will enjoy.

Morris Arts’ Executive Director, Tom Werder says, “We’re so excited to celebrate four decades of Giralda. A lot has changed over the last 40 years, but what hasn’t changed is our community’s desire to enjoy live music, art, and connection with one another.”

Morris Arts’ 2024 Coladarci & Ehlers Scholarship winners will also be presented their awards at the festival. Violinist Elizabeth Morgievich of Randolph High School will receive the Elaine Ehlers Scholarship and dancer Julia Nugent from Chatham High School will receive the Eugenie Coladarci Scholarship.

This event is wheelchair accessible with accessible parking. Individuals needing assistance with any other essentials should contact Jenna Castano, ADA Coordinator at jcastano@morrisarts.org at least 10 days prior to the event to ensure appropriate arrangements.

Giralda Music & Arts Festival is rain or shine! In the event of uncertain weather, please check morrisarts.org AFTER 12:00 PM on the day of the concert for the latest updates. Our rain location is Liquid Church, 299 Webro Rd, Parsippany, NJ. With air conditioning and a fantastic sound system, you’ll enjoy the live performances, art show and sale, children’s activities, and food trucks even in the event of inclement weather.
