The Paterson Museum is excited to announce the opening of its newest changing exhibit, Metamorphosis II, Light and Shadow: The Art of Rhadames Ramirez, 1980- Present.

Rhadames Ramirez is a Dominican American artist based in New York, who has spent his artistic career reflecting on and celebrating Caribbean culture.

Metamorphosis II, Light and Shadow: The Art of Rhadames Ramirez, 1980- Present is a retrospective of Rhadames Ramirez’s work since his arrival in the United States. Within his work, the viewer can see the integration of his attraction to the magic found in the Caribbean and the African rituals of his homeland. Much of his work portrays the scenery of Caribbean culture, reflecting its diversity, passion and strength. Spanning five decades, the exhibit reflects the artist’s changing styles and influences, as he continues to explore and celebrate his heritage through different techniques.
