Spring Concerts in the Zimmerli Art Museum

 

Community Partners Bring Music Into the Museum   Federation of the Art Song Believing strongly in the value of songs of all genres sung in classical style, FAS helps singers and pianists to develop their artistic abilities and identities. Their goal is to educate the public on the expanding catalogue of song repertoire, exploring music from around the globe. Join us for two engaging concerts!   Sundays / 2:30 to 5 pm     April 14 / Latin American Art Song Soprano Maria Brea, tenor César Parreño, and pianist Martin Néron offer a diverse program that celebrates Spanish and Portuguese vocal music.     NBCO@Zimmerli: Salon Americana Saturday, May 11, 1 to 3 pm   New Brunswick Chamber Orchestra  String Quartet highlights the jazzy side of classical music! The program includes works by Dvorak, Grant Still, Gershwin, Higdon, Montgomery, and Ellington.   The afternoon includes a lively discussion about this quintessential American art form that was loved by American composers.
