You are invited to enjoy a celebration
of the Symphony and indulge in the grandeur of a bygone era as we
transport you to a romantic world inspired by the Netflix period drama Bridgerton. The night
promises a delightful blend of Regency-era charm and contemporary
revelry, creating an ambiance that will leave you breathless.
We are excited to honor the Newark
Alliance and its President & CEO Evan Weiss. Like the
Newark Alliance, the New Jersey Symphony has a strong commitment to the
City of Newark. Since it first took up residence at the Mosque Theatre
(now Symphony Hall) in 1965, the Symphony has brought music to concert
stages, schools and other community spaces throughout the city. Today, we serve nearly 10,000 Newark residents each year
through various programs, including preschool classroom residencies,
family and schooltime concerts, the Youth Orchestra and Community
Partners traveling chamber music program. In addition, more than 1,100
Newark residents attend Symphony concerts at NJPAC each year.
All proceeds from this event will benefit these programs and more that
the Symphony offers throughout the state of New Jersey, and
specifically in Newark.
