Stars of Tomorrow,
a vocal competition sponsored by Light Opera of NJ for NJ high school
students, has extended its deadline to April 1, 2024.
This is great news for all the
talented singers out there who haven't had the chance to submit their
entries yet. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to showcase
your talent and win exciting prizes. Prizes consist of $1000
for first place, $500 for second place, $250 for
third as determined by the judges, $100 for the audience favorite, and
performance opportunities with LONJ for the upcoming season.
Contestants need to submit unedited
videos of two songs in contrasting styles without any kind of audio
enhancement. Both may come from the Musical Theater repertoire, both
from the Operatic repertoire or one from each. They may be recorded
with or without accompaniment and need not be professionally
produced. A video made on a mobile phone is fine.
The competition finals will be April
21st at 2 PM at St. Mark's Church, 140 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge.
