NJ Makers Day

NJ Makers Day is a statewide celebration of STEM and maker culture. Stop by our pop up maker space to create, construct, and collaborate! No registration required. All ages welcome.

IN PERSON: Solar Eclipse with Paul Cirillo

Thursday March 7 | 7:00pm | Auditorium

On April 8th, there will be a total eclipse of the Sun visible in the United States on a line from Maine to Texas. This is a truly rare and spectacular astronomical event and should not be missed! Learn about the history of eclipses, how and why they happen, where the best viewing locations are and how to prepare for observing this amazing celestial display of nature!

 

IN PERSON: Creative Aging: Spark Your Creativity with the Writers Circle

Wednesday March 13 | 3:00pm | Williamsburg Room

During this workshop, participants will engage in interactive creative writing exercises and prompts in a positive, supportive atmosphere. Registration required.

 

Creative Aging programs are designed to stimulate creativity and community in people ages 50 and up.

Pokémon Club is a program that gives kids a space where kids can do all things Pokémon!  Librarian Miss Sue and Millburn's own resident Pokémon expert Devon Hampton will host the event. Registration required.


 

IN PERSON: Music & Movement with Miss Bee

Friday March 15 | 11:00am | Auditorium | Ages up to 5

Little ones will experience the magic of music and movement through traditional and original songs, puppets, parachutes, bubbles, rhythm sticks, egg shakers and other fun instruments and props. Registration required.

HYBRID: Learning Differences in High School: How to Cope

Monday March 11 | 7:00pm | Williamsburg Room & Online

Learn more about how IEP/504 plans become obsolete after high school: how to secure accommodations for standardized testing with the SAT and ACT, and how to ensure your student receives the support they need in college. Bring a copy of your student’s testing and IEP/504 for reference during the discussion. Presented by Amanda Robertson.
