Theatre for All: Relaxed Performances

The first Classics for Kids! presentation for 2024 is our relaxed and abridged Short Shakespeare performance A Midsummer Night's Dream on March 9. This performance will be offered in a less formal environment hopefully making it more comfortable and accessible for our patrons with different sensory, communication, movement, and learning needs, as well as younger patrons new to the theatre.

The Theatre is proud to bring back relaxed programming in an ongoing effort to make theatre more accessible for every patron. For more information on the relaxed format, please check out our accessibility page.

Book Club — Into the Woods

As one of the most iconic settings in fairytales, ancient mythology, and all manner of literary traditions, the Woods remove us from the safety and familiarity of civilization. In a darkened forest, anything can happen as heroes and heroines face mysterious forces, dangerous encounters, and magical experiences that ultimately alter the course of their stories and even their lives.

This spring, join our Shakespeare Book Club as we set forth into the Forest of Arden with one of Shakespeare’s most famed heroines in As You Like It, wander the Welsh woodlands in Shakespeare’s rarely produced fairytale, Cymbeline, and dance with the devil in the woods of 17th century Salem in Arthur Miller's The Crucible.

Bring on the Summer Shakespeare!

The mainstage may be quiet at this time of year, but the Theatre Factory is abuzz with preparations for our summer education programs. Each summer scores of students ages 10-18 explore the world of Shakespeare through performance in our Junior and Senior Shakespeare Corps, while college-age students push their craft to the next level with classes and hands-on experience as interns and acting apprentices in

our Summer Professional Training Program.
