THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE
March 1 - 16, 2024
|
|
|
Set in the mountains of Connemara, County Galway, THE
BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Folan,
a plain and lonely woman in her early forties, and Mag, her
manipulative aging mother, whose interference in Maureen’s first and
possibly final chance of a loving relationship sets in motion a train
of events that leads inexorably towards the play’s terrifying
dénouement.

AUDITIONS for
CONSTELLATIONS
by Nick Payne
Mon/Tue, March 11 & 12
|
|
|
Chatham Community Players’ black box series, One
Weekend Only, wraps up its 2nd Season holding auditions for Nick
Payne’s CONSTELLATIONS,
directed by Felicity Winter. One Weekend Only was born of the desire
to find a dedicated place at the theater for a different kind of
production. These shows have smaller casts, smaller sets, and are
staged up close our audiences. The subject matter may be challenging.
The humor may be on the dark side. The drama may be intense.
Auditions will be held on Monday, March 11th, and Tuesday, March
12th, at 7:00 pm at The Chatham Playhouse 23 North Passaic Ave.
Chatham, NJ. Performances are June 7-9, 2024, with
rehearsals to begin in late March. Actors will be asked to read from
sides provided below at the audition asked to check in by 7:30 pm,
unless previously arranged with the production team.
