February 16th

After the show, join us for a conversation with Rev. Anya Sammler-Michael on the rifts which can occur between individuals or between communities. Rifts that deepen between nations become wars. In this conversation we will consider the rift that is building in our own Northern New Jersey communities since the terrorist attack on October 7th, and the war that is ongoing in Gaza. Rev. Anya Sammler-Michael who has, been working in step with the interfaith community in Montclair to address the rift and provide space for deep listening will speak with us about the need for communal care during communal rifts. Rev. Anya has a background in conflict resolution and crisis intervention.  Rev. Anya is the senior co-minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair and she has an extensive background in conflict resolution and crisis intervention.

February 17th

Join us for a special event with Out Montclair. Out Montclair is a community of individuals dedicated to providing support and solidarity for the LGBTQ+ population of Montclair and beyond. More details on this post-play conversation coming soon!

Got tickets for another night? No problem! You are welcome to return for as many post-play conversations as you wish!

About RIFT

A work of fiction, RIFT or White Lies is inspired by playwright Gabriel Jason Dean’s relationship with his brother, a currently-incarcerated high-level member of the alt-right. The two had been estranged since Dean’s discovery of his brother’s affiliation in 2010. In creating the piece, Dean reconnected with his brother to explore the roots of their ideological differences and try to find common ground.
