This Week: Little Farm Friends: Cozy Critters January 12 Join us on the farm to see our fuzzy animals and learn how their wool and fur keeps them warm in the winter. Come join us! Cost: $10 per child. Preregistration is required.   Winter Tour Series -Frelinghuysen Arboretum Pinetum January 17 In this tour, you will go where most do not. The Pinetum hosts tall, luscious evergreens and dwarf conifers. Bundle up and make sure to wear sturdy walking shoes. Explore more. Cost: $15 per person. Preregistration is required.   Hot Chocolate Walk January 20 Join Fosterfields staff on a walking tour around the farm and warm up with a cup of delicious hot chocolate. Spotlight On: Day Off with Nature: Great Swamp After Dark January 15 Spend a day off from school discovering nocturnal animals. When the sun goes down and the gates close, a new cast of characters comes out to play.  Experience the dark during the day by playing games and use your senses in new ways along the trails. Bring a nut-free snack & lunch. Click here to learn more. Look What's Coming: Matilda's Tea Club January 20 Winter is the perfect time to enjoy a warm cup of herbal tea to remind you that spring is on its way! Join us at Matilda's Café to discover the variety of flavors that can come from your garden and bring home some of your favorite tea. Snow date Sunday, January 21. Join the tea party! Cost: $20 per person. Preregistration is required.    Owl Moon Night Hike January 19 Believe it or not, winter is the best time to look and listen for owls! Start indoors to discover cool facts about New Jersey's owls, then, head out on the darkened trails with a naturalist to try to spot an owl calling for its mate! Bring a flashlight. It’s time to get your hands in the soil in your own 10 x 20-foot plot. The Community Garden season begins March 20.
