Friday, Feb. 2: Gorf
will speak after Shabbat evening services at 6:30 PM; His featured
presentation will be, The Exodus, The Dark Knight and Being A
Jewish Superhero. We will follow services with a Community
Shabbat Dinner at 7:30 (register here). The cost is only $18
per family, thanks to a Centennial Shabbat grant from Jewish Federation
of Greater MetroWest.
Saturday, Feb. 3: On
Shabbat morning, from 9 to 9:50 - Parashat Hashavua will feature Gorf
as he guides participants to provide "color commentary" on
passages from the Parsha, as seen through the lens of their personal or
professional experience—just as he does with his Batman experience.

During kiddush after
Shabbat morning services, Gorf will address Moses, Esther, Wonder
Woman & Superman — How the secret origins of superheroes and
their Jewish creators spotlight Jewish traditions and wisdom.
Sunday, Feb. 4: At
10 AM Gorf will lead a Jewish Cartoon Workshop in which participants
of all ages (adults, youth, families) make Jewish- and holiday-themed
cartoons that are collected into a collective comic book for everyone
to enjoy and learn from. RSVP here.

For nearly a decade, Gorf managed a team of writers, artists, and
creators on the Batman franchise for DC Comics, producing more than
2,000 stories in multiple mediums.
Temple B'nai Abraham is
thankful to the funders of this programming: The Bloom Family Lecture
