Oton, this exhibition explores cultural practices that have been
mixed, juxtaposed, and collided with ideas, themes, materials, and
techniques, both African and Modern, by African and African diaspora
artists in New Jersey and surrounding areas.

Erena
Terakubo is a multi-talented saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist,
composer, arranger, and educator from Sapporo, Japan. She is an
international sensation whose career spans five different continents. She
has performed everywhere from the UN General Assembly’s 2022 International
Jazz Day celebrations to Dizzy’s Jazz Club at Lincoln Center and the Tokyo
Jazz Festival to name a few. Now she brings her remarkable sound to
