Dan Tepfer has earned accolades for his beautiful musicianship and innovative approach to the concert experience around the world. His style is rooted in Jazz, and expressed through exciting use of technology. Natural Machines is a concert experience that is a feast for the eyes and ears.

Tepfer has earned an international reputation as a pianist-composer of wide-ranging innovation, individuality, and drive—one “who refuses to set himself limits” (France’s Télérama). The New York City-based Tepfer, born in 1982 in Paris to American parents, has recorded and performed around the world with some of the leading lights in jazz and classical music, from Lee Konitz to Renée Fleming, and released eleven albums of his own in solo, duo and trio formats.

Join us for a special Curator-lead Guinness Gallery demonstration, to see the Museum's acclaimed collection of automatic musical instruments in action. This tour will be highlighted by performances of our 1925 Knabe Baby Grand Reproducing Piano, by the hands of 20’s jazz icons like: Jelly Roll Morton, Henry Lange, Zez Confrey & more!

Bickford Theatre Ticket & Visitor Information

The Morris Museum has adopted a dynamic mask policy for upcoming events inside the Bickford Theatre. Face masks are currently optional in the CENTER and HOUSE RIGHT sections and are required in the HOUSE LEFT section. This policy is subject to change at any time. For assistance, call the box office at 973-971-3706.

There is a $3 per ticket handling fee for all online, in-person, and phone sales.

Learn about destinations where you can combine travel with history and food in New Jersey and meet PBS TV host Darley Newman.

The Morris Museum will host a premiere screening of the Morristown and Princeton-focused episodes of “Travels with Darley: Revolutionary Road Trip New Jersey” and a sneak preview of a third episode.

Orpheus Chamber Orchestra returns to the Morris Museum’s Bickford Theatre for a program that explores the heights and depths of Bach’s music with works inspired by him by Mendelssohn and Hailstork. Orpheus is joined by international violin sensation, Bomsori Kim.
