Watch the story here The Museum’s reading of NIGHT for International Holocaust Remembrance Day was featured in AMNY and on CBS 880 radio. On Thursday New York City Mayor Eric Adams visited the Museum to hold a press conference and toured Courage to Act: Rescue in Denmark. The tour was led by Mallory Bubar and Sara Softness from the Museum’s education and curatorial departments. Leo Baeck Institute’s new exhibition about the Kitchener Camp which has been largely forgotten today, but in 1939, was the scene of an extraordinary rescue in which 4,000 men were saved from the Holocaust. The exhibition opens Wed, Jan 31, 2024, 6:00 PM–8:00 PM EST at the Center for Jewish History.
