2024 is going to be an
exciting year for The Roxbury Arts Alliance!
With more fantastic performances already on the calendar
and planning underway for big things coming this summer and fall, we
simply can't contain our excitement.
Before fully embracing the new year, we must reflect on
our accomplishments over the last year. Remembering our humble
beginnings as a small group of parents interested in promoting arts
within their local community, we are grateful for all we can share with
our growing audience, theater supporters, volunteers, sponsors and
members. Let's look at some highlights of 2023:
· Launched a new website
· Received a grant from the Morris Arts Council
· Presented 13 shows inside the theater and 4 free summer
concerts at the Bandshell
· Incorporated new activities to compliment our
performances, like dinner delivery and lawn games
· Collaborations with community groups on events such as
Home for the Holidays
· Provided our theater as a meeting and practice space for
the Roxbury High School choir, local musicians, and speakers
· Awarded 3 scholarships to graduating students
· Celebrated our 25th Anniversary with an event alongside
theater sponsors and volunteers
· Entertained approximately 2400 patrons, including adults
and children, at arts events in the theater and at the Bandshell
· Welcomed new volunteers and refreshed our recognition of
those who have been serving the RAA
· Updated stage light controls
· New stage curtain installed
· New exterior building sign installed
We couldn't have made all this progress without your support! We are so fortunate to be immersed in such a wonderful community within Roxbury and the surrounding towns. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts! And cheers to an even more amazing 2024!
