Get your tickets today! This widely anticipated holiday concert features a modern twist on the beloved classic and a jazz inspired take on a pop culture standard. Returning to the Morris Museum, The Water Gap Jazz Orchestra, will perform Duke Ellington’s iconic Nutcracker Suite and their very own Grinch Suite! This 17-piece big band is comprised of the highest caliber professional musicians in the tri-state area and is joined by vocalist Nancy Reed and Duke Ellington’s grandson, Edward Ellington II to narrate.

The concert features The Grinch Suite, written by WGJO director, Matt Vashlishan. Developed over the past three years, Vashlishan created a full 25-minute modern take on this pop culture classic. The new suite with include familiar arrangements such as “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” featuring saxophone, “Welcome Christmas” featuring guitar and clarinets, and “Trim Up the Tree” featuring trumpet, piano, and drums.

 

 

Bickford Theatre Ticket & Visitor Information

The Morris Museum has adopted a dynamic mask policy for upcoming events inside the Bickford Theatre. Face masks are currently optional in the CENTER and HOUSE RIGHT sections and are required in the HOUSE LEFT section.
