Preregistration is required.   PUDDLE JUMPERS: WHO LIVES IN A BURROW? November 20 Let's go on a hole hunt! Lots of animals dig underground to make their homes. Let's find out which ones with a story, activities and a trail walk to hunt for animal burrows! Parents can stay or drop off. Let’s dig deeper into this! Cost: $7 per child. Preregistration is required.   ADVENTURES IN STEM: ROCK ON! November 21    In this series, young scientists explore the natural world through experiments and activities, making surprising discoveries along the way! In this session, discover three different types of rocks and learn how they form. Ready to rock on? Cost: $10 per child. Preregistration is required.

Holiday Workshops: CLASSIC AND TRADITIONAL: WILLIAMSBURG ARRANGMENT FOR THE THANKSGIVING TABLE November 18 Create an unusual yet traditional fall holiday centerpiece in the Williamsburg Style. Preregistration is required.   WOODSTOVE COOKING CLASS – THANKSGIVING PIES November 19 The tastes and smells of the fall season await you at Fosterfields!  Bake your very own pie in a historic woodstove. FLORAL ARRANGING FOR KIDS: THANKS FOR THANKSGIVING November 19 Young florists will create a fall floral centerpiece perfect for the Thanksgiving table. All materials provided. Are you ready to impress your guests with your Ikebana skills? Look no further! Cost: $25 per child. Preregistration is required.    DECOUPAGE LEAF MASON JARS November 19 What do we do with all these leaves? Decoupaged leaf jars, of course! We will be creating these seasonal jars, a perfect table decoration for your Thanksgiving feast. Learn more to register. Cost: $8 per child. Preregistration is required.   HOLIDAY GIFT WORKSHOP: SOAPMAKING November 30  Create your own unique soap in this workshop! Using essential oils, participants will create soaps in a holiday mold. Look What's Coming: TURKEY MT. HIKE FOR TURKEY DAY November 25   After Thanksgiving, hike off all that turkey on Turkey Mountain! This 3-hour hike will take us up and over the mountain, and back. Bring a lunch to enjoy at a stop along the way. Ready to take a hike? Cost: $10 per person. Preregistration is required.    CONTINUING CROCHET – BOBBLE STITCH November 29 Have the basics of crochet down already? Come out to Fosterfields and learn a new stitch! Hook and yarn provided. Get hooked in!  Cost: $15 per person. Preregistration is required. WILLOWS WONDERLAND December 2 and 3 Celebrate the holiday season at Fosterfields! Tour The Willows mansion decorated for different decades of Christmas, talk to costumed interpreters and watch live cooking demos at both the mansion and the 1915 farmhouse. Create a holiday craft and take a wagon ride and meet the animals in the barnyard. Even take your picture with Santa! Get into the holiday spirit with us! Cost: $10 per person, children 2 and under are FREE.
