Having Our Say (November 28 - December 17)

The Tony®-Nominated play by Emily Mann follows two sisters living through testaments of American History. Witness a groundbreaking story of two daughters of a former slave as they broke boundaries in racial equality and established successful careers in a world against their ambitions. Based on the book of the same name, Having Our Say offers a profound reflection on American history through the eyes of two women who truly saw it all unfold.

 

Ibsen's Ghost (January 16 — February 4, 2024)

Renowned playwright, cabaret performer and drag icon Charles Busch brings life to the Norwegian playwright who brought us A Doll's House and Hedda Gabler. Ibsen wrote great stories about women, but how much did the women in his life do more than inspire the stories? Find out in this hilarious new play!

 

The Club (February 27 — March 17, 2024)

Let's rewind to 1968—a year of undeniable change in the United States. Best-selling novelist Chris Bohjalian brings this riveting new work to the stage, centering around three couples attempting to take refuge from the world they can't escape. Between the issues of racism, marriage, and the lies we tell ourselves daily, this play's relevance has an undeniable place in today's world. 

 

 

Tick, Tick...Boom! (April 23 — May 19, 2024)

Before Jonathan Larson wrote the Pulitzer and Tony® Award-winning RENT, he was a struggling artist dealing with the frustration of his day job and not catching a break. From the turmoil of AIDS, existential crises and the importance of relationships, experience the heartbreaking story of an artist longing to break ground and wake up an entire nation!

Toasting a Successful Run!

 

On Sunday, October 22nd, the company of The Pianist (adapted and directed by Emily Mann) played their final performance and celebrated a successful run at George Street Playhouse!

 

We would like to congratulate the incredible cast and production team, and wish them all a successful future for this astounding new piece of theatre!
