Tomorrow (October 31) is the Early Bird Deadline for November’s “Golden Age of Broadway” survey course, which meets every Sunday in November from 1 pm to 2:15 pm.

Highlights:

  • Selections from more than 100 songs from dozens of shows
  • Background about the plot, characters, and themes from each show
  • Weekly “music theory” segments with co-host and music educator Mateo Chavez Lewis
  • A chance to decide which show you want to see (or see again) next

Shows included (subject to change): Oklahoma!; On the Town; Carousel; Annie Get Your Gun; Brigadoon; Finian's Rainbow; Kiss Me, Kate; Gentlemen Prefer Blondes; South Pacific; Guys and Dolls; The King and I; Peter Pan; The Pajama Game; Bells Are Ringing; Li'l Abner; Damn Yankees; My Fair Lady; The Music Man; West Side Story; Gypsy; The Sound of Music; Once Upon a Mattress; Bye Bye Birdie; Camelot; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying; A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum; She Loves Me; Fiddler on the Roof; Funny Girl; and Hello, Dolly!.

The course is normally $48, but those who pay by the Early Bird deadline (October 31) save $9 and pay only $39.

Tuesdays in November we’ll hear from four great lecturers discussing four great shows. These online talks take place from Noon to 1 pm ET and cost $9 per lecture or $29 for all four.
