Dear Lovers of Art,
LONJ
is delighted to announce that we have an ambitious season filled with
professional productions that will move and inspire audiences of all
ages! These plans are made possible through your generous
support of our Annual Appeal. As LONJ moves to new
heights as a professional regional opera/operetta and musical theater
company, your support is essential to our future.
Our
upcoming season includes a traditional production of Rossini’s The
Barber of Seville, directed by Giorgio Lalov, performed in the
Union County Performing Arts Center (Feb. 17) and in the Sieminski
Theater, Basking Ridge (Feb. 18). We will also be presenting
Disney’s family classic, Beauty and the Beast, directed
by Joseph Hayward, on July 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 in the South
Orange Performing Arts Center.
We
are also delighted to announce the second season of our “Opera for All”
program that provides 10% of our mainstage tickets, at no cost, to
underserved members of our community. This program was begun with
a seed grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Your support
also allows us to provide our Savoy Faire program, a vital outreach
to senior living facilities, local libraries, and other spaces
throughout Northern and Central New Jersey. We feel the world of vocal
art should be shared with all!
Please
consider donating to our Annual Appeal to ensure our
continued standards of excellence. There are various ways to donate. Visit our website
here for more information.
We
look forward to seeing you at all our upcoming performances and thank
you for supporting our mission to provide great art to the residents of
our region. Here's a SHORT VIDEO of some highlights from our past season that we hope
you'll enjoy.
Sincerely,
Jason Tramm
Executive Director, Light
Opera of New Jersey
