September 16

Join us to get into the woods, learning different outdoor skills, meeting other like-minded kids, and building confidence. In this session, learn how to identify some common plants using a field guide, with a focus on useful plants and those to avoid. Learn more!

sensory friendly saturdaySENSORY FRIENDLY SATURDAY

September 16

Visit Fosterfields for our new Sensory Friendly Saturdays. This event is designed to be less overwhelming to those with sensory sensitivities. This hour-long program allows families to come to the farm and enjoy the open, quiet spaces with no crowds. Check it out here!

Stroll through the gardens and meet local artists recreating the beautiful scenery through their art. Learn about their techniques, motivations, and styles. Artists display a variety of their works for viewing and purchase. Check it out!

Morris County Park AllianceMORRIS PARK ALLIANCE GOLF OUTING

September 18

Join the Alliance for Morris County Parks for the annual golf outing on September 18 at Berkshire Valley Golf Course. Check in and breakfast at 8 am, shotgun start at 9 am followed by a BBQ lunch. Prize holes, door prizes and a 50-50 are planned. Click here to sign up!

STEMADVENTURES IN STEM: BUZZ ON BEES

September 19

Young scientists explore different parts of the natural world through experiments and activities. Science will surprise you with things that you didn't know were possible! In this session, participants will perform experiments to uncover the importance of bees and discover the complexity of their lives through hands-on activities. Participants will also take home a bee home they will make themselves! For more info, click here!

tea blendingTHE ART OF TEA BLENDING WITH FRESH HERBS

Create your own fresh tea in this hands-on workshop! Walk down to our Tea herb garden to harvest leaves and make your own recipes to taste and take home. Learn how to harvest and dry herbs for the winter months to come! Check it out!

Join the Conserve Wildlife Foundation in this fascinating night walk to learn about, and hopefully find, bats as they begin their evenings. Learn bat facts along the trail and discover how the bat conservation biologists track the bats and study them! Learn more here.

paranormal cooper millPARANORMAL EVENINGS: THE COOPER GRISTMILL

September 22

Paranormal Evenings heads out to Chester to investigate the Cooper Gristmill! The mill was the center of social activity and commerce for Milltown from its beginning in 1760 until the early 1900’s. Eventually farmers turned to factories for flour production, leaving the Grist Mill to become a showcase of industries past. Explore the mill, carriage house and the historic Visitor's Center. Did you know that NJ monarch butterflies migrate thousands of miles to a mountain forest in Mexico each fall? Or that a female monarch can lay up to 250 eggs a day on the leaves of milkweed plants? Join us for a fun-filled day off from school with interactive activities, crafts, a hike, and more! Please bring a nut-FREE snack and lunch. For more info, click here!

yogaSUNSHINE YOGA FOR KIDS: DINOSAURS

September 30

An awesome class for kids who want to play games, use their imaginations, and have FUN! Each class is taught by a licensed yoga instructor and centers around a nature theme. Kids learn 5 yoga poses to use in our games. At the end of every class, we will talk about a “big feeling”, such as being mad, and learn a new tool to help us cope with that feeling.
