Join
us for New Scores: The Edward T. Cone Institute
Concert, featuring your New Jersey Symphony performing the
works of four emerging composers! The works you’ll hear at this
performance—Messages in the
Ground, Walls
of Brocade Fields, Hydrosphere
and Bya—only
hint at the musical journey you’ll experience at this concert. You’ll
also have the opportunity to hear about the inspiration for these works
directly from the composers themselves. In addition to the music from
this year’s Cone Institute composers—Tom Morrison, Kory Reeder, Sam Wu
and Yangfan Xu—you’ll also hear "Sphere" from Institute
director and concert host Steven Mackey’s Concerto for Curved Space, a work he premiered
with the Boston Symphony Orchestra earlier this year.
