About SUNSET PARK: "I wanted to write about the effects of aging on the human spirit" —JOSEPH VITALE

Joseph Vitale is the author of a number of plays with a rich repertoire of productions. His play Dragons in the Crease was performed at the Hudson Guild Theater, New York in 2019, and was a finalist for the prestigious 2020-2021 Woodward/Newman award.

Murrow, a one-man show delving into the life of Edward R. Murrow, was performed Off-Off Broadway at The Phoenix Theatre Ensemble in May 2016 and at the ACANSA Arts Festival in Little Rock, AR in September 2016. The Huffington Post heralded it as a "dramatic masterpiece."

A member of the Dramatists Guild of America and The Theater Project Playwrights Workshop, Vitale is a recipient of a 2021 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship in Playwriting
