Beethoven and Bach by Sunset! Black Oak Ensemble Performs on Thursday, August 3!

Praised for its “insightful, committed and masterful performances” (Classics Today 10/10) and “fierce eloquence” (London Times), the Black Oak Ensemble is one of the most innovative and exciting chamber ensembles on the international stage. Their two recordings have earned them a place in the pantheon of great chamber ensembles and their international tours have confirmed their artistic excellence for enthusiastic audiences throughout the world.

Violinist Desirée Ruhstrat and cellist David Cunliffe are members of the acclaimed, Grammy-nominated Lincoln Trio, and violist Aurélien Fort Pederzoli was a founding member of the ground-breaking Grammy-nominated Spektral Quartet. Aurélien returns to the Morris Museum after having performed here with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.

Attendees must bring their own chairs and are welcome to bring refreshments to enjoy the live music atop the Morris Museum’s elevated parking deck. Tickets are $50 for an 8’x8’ block that accommodates up to two patrons (in green on the seating chart) or $25 for a block that accommodates one patron (in orange). Concerts begin at 7:30 PM but patrons are welcome to arrive as early as 5:00 PM to enjoy their picnics. 

 

A Chance of Rain?

In the event of inclement weather, outdoor performances will be held inside the Museum’s Bickford Theatre. No need to call, the Box Office will contact you by email on the day of the concert no later than 5 PM.

 

Bickford Theatre Ticket & Visitor Information

The Morris Museum has adopted a dynamic mask policy for upcoming events inside the Bickford Theatre. Face masks are currently optional in the CENTER and HOUSE RIGHT sections and are required in the HOUSE LEFT section. Galvin Cello Quartet

The Galvin Cello Quartet explores the limitless range of a cello ensemble by bringing together new works from diverse cultural backgrounds while seeking to establish the cello quartet as a core part of the classical music world.
