The Axelrod's new production of the Broadway musical The Prom--the first professional regional production in New Jersey--opened last weekend to standing ovations and rave reviews. This "perfectly cast musical" is led by TV and Broadway's Vicki Lewis (NBC's Newsradio and Broadway's Chicago and Damn Yankees) and her co-star John Scherer (Broadway's By Jeeves and Sunset Boulevard) along with newcomer Lilli Belle Doll as high schooler Emma Nolan.

Compared to Hairspray and Wicked, The Prom is a musical for the 2020s, a contemporary story with a fun new score and a hilarious book. This ain't your grandma's Hello, Dolly! but bring her along too! She will love it!
